As a 20 year old student, suffering from hyperhidrosis was a daily struggle that affected nearly every decision of daily life. Never could I wear what I wanted or feel comfortable in social situations without several layers of clothes on to hide the sweat patches. With the thought of graduating next year and trying to find a job with the constant fear in the back of my mind that everyone is judging me for sweating, I knew I had to do something drastic and permanent.

Having tried everything from acupuncture and high-strength deodorants to iontophoresis and prescription medications, my GP told me it was something I would just have to live with, an opinion I strongly disagreed with and refused to believe.

I found the Whitely Clinic online and when I went for my consultation I couldn't have been made to feel more comfortable. Dr Whiteley was extremely knowledgable and honest about the entire process, and the sweat test confirmed that not only did I have hyperhidrosis, but it was one of the worst cases he'd seen.

When I came back for the operation I was excited to finally get rid of this condition however having a phobia of needles and operations I was absolutely terrified at the same time. The nurses couldn't have been more friendly and were there throughout the operation to keep my mind off what was going on. The operation lasted about an hour and thanks to the anaesthetic I was completely numbed and it was nowhere near as bad as I had expected, instead it was actually quite a laugh with the Doctor and the Nurses and the radio in the background.

I was slightly sore after the operation but this was kept at bay with the pain killers The Whiteley Clinic gave me, and I was driving again the next day. A week later the bruising had gone down significantly however a red swollen lump appeared on one of the incisions and looked infected. I emailed the clinic a photo and was reassured that it was nothing to worry about, however I was still concerned and Dr Whiteley was more than happy for me to come in that afternoon just to put my mind at rest. I was seen straight away and Dr Whiteley confirmed it was just fluid, and surely enough it was gone within a couple of days.

Eleven weeks on and I haven't had to wear deodorant since, and the sweating is now non-existent. My six week check up and sweat test showed the operation had been 98% and 96% successful and that I now sweat only a fifth of that of a normal person. I've been in stressful situations where before I would have felt the sweat running down my side, and now theres not even a drop. I can't thank Dr Whiteley enough for changing my life and probably my entire future as well. I highly recommend The Whiteley Clinic to anyone in a similar situation as you can't put a price on getting your confidence back, and never having to worry about sweating again.

I am utterly thrilled with the whole process! From my first consultation with Barrie Price, through the procedures, to my final consultation, I have nothing but praise and thanks.

As a keen runner I was amazed to be able to jog gently again within 2 days of both procedures.

The entire staff of the clinic are helpful, relaxed and jolly and the whole experience was swift, professional, positive and painless.

My right leg now matches my left for the first time in 16 years and I’m looking forward to wearing shorts again!

The central London pre-treatment consultation and scan was very efficient and convenient. I was reassured by the clear explanation of the proposed treatment method and why it achieves better outcomes than the commonly used vein stripping procedure.

The treatment day was as efficient - literally a walk in and walk out service. I couldn't believe that, after the operation, I could just walk to the station and catch the tube home without a shred of discomfort. The clinic was very comfortable and the care very considerate.

The operation itself was quick, without any pain, and I was very well looked after by an excellent consultant anaesthetist and other medical staff. I didn't require any pain killers at all after the procedure, and had no discomfort.

I am absolutely amazed at the results - the varicose veins have completely disappeared, but for me, more importantly, the pain has completely gone. I can stand for hours with no pain, and the days of long dull aches have gone. Thanks for fixing me up!

It will be marvellous to be able to wear skirts in the summer and to be able to play tennis in a skirt not tracksuit trousers in the heat of the summer after so many years!

I visited The Whiteley Clinic following recommendations from my 2 nieces who live in Yorkshire and who have both undergone successful treatment of their varicose veins at The Whiteley Clinic. 

I started experiencing problems with varicose veins nearly 60 years ago, when I was 16 years of age and since then have undergone 5 different vein stripping procedures! The last one of these was in 2006 and despite this, by the time I saw Mr Barrie Price at The Whiteley Clinic in March 2010, my veins had all grown back and were worse than ever.

From the start, my experience of The Whiteley Clinic was an excellent one. The administrative processes were flawless and staff were very helpful. I was sent all the information I needed for my first appointment although I did have to wait a few weeks for an appointment as the clinic is so busy.

Charmaine, the lady who did my scan at that first appointment, was absolutely wonderful. She provided me with a very thorough and detailed examination and I felt she provided an excellent level of customer satisfaction.

The nursing team were marvellous, so kind and thoughtful and Carrie in particular made me feel so at home. I had extensive vein problems and needed a great deal of treatment. On the whole the procedures were fine and not uncomfortable and I did not mind being awake. Due to the extent of my problems and the amount of treatment I needed, a few of the later procedures did cause me a bit of discomfort but nothing I couldn’t tolerate. Mr Price was extremely warm and helpful throughout all of my visits and explained everything very clearly.

It took me some weeks to feel completely healed after my treatment because of the amount of treatment I needed to undergo but I am now delighted with the appearance of my legs and the fact that I can walk without discomfort.

The Whiteley Clinic provides the sort of experience many would hope to expect from a private facility, with an excellent team of staff.

It has been almost 3 weeks since my LSA operation and I would like to write a quick note to tell you how extremely happy I am.

I was quite nervous before the operation. However, your staff made me feel very comfortable at all times. I have never met such warm and kind nurses. They provided me with all the necessary information and Mr Whiteley treated me with the utmost professional care.

In fact, after my very first consultation, I was 100% sure about my life changing decision. I followed all of your recommendations and, after the operation, I only had slight discomfort for the first and second days.

The following week my swelling went down and I had no pain. I could not believe my eyes when I dressed myself in a white shirt - no sweaty patches at all! The LSA surgery has been 99% successful on the left arm and 95% on the right arm. There are literally no words to describe how free and confident I feel these last few weeks. I can wear clothes that I could only dream of before and I feel a lot more confident. My feet and hands also sweat less than before. I truly thank you. I just wish I had done the operation years ago. I strongly recommend Mr Mark Whiteley’s clinic and his caring nurses to anyone who has similar concerns.

A big thank you to all at The Whiteley Clinic.

After many years of one painful verruca spreading to a large mosaic on my heel, I had tried every freeze treatment, solutions and wife’s tales, with no results. On seeing the laser treatment on the internet, I rang The Whiteley Clinic and arranged a visit. I was put under the very professional podiatrist, Liz Smith.  Liz advised me that it may take a few treatments but should have good results.  Having spent the last 5 years trying to remove the verruca myself, I was up for any treatment that gave me some hope. After a few treatments, which felt a little uncomfortable, I started to see some signs of progress. I was advised to leave it six weeks and see what happened. On the 5th week the black marks started to disappear and new skin was visible and, on the 6th week, I had no signs of any of the verrucae, I had my new feet back and I was so pleased with the results. If you are going to use this method, stick with it.  It may take its time but the results are worth it. Thanks to Liz and the team.

Staff are all very friendly and professional and always rang me the next day (after a procedure) to check I was okay.

The clinic is clean and bright. I had a few visits and was always greeted with a smile. I almost felt one of the family by the end!
